Correctional

Project:
Chesterfield County Jail, Chesterfield County, Virginia

The Challenge:
The Chesterfield County Jail needed mechanical and plumbing systems for its new facility. Once the county finished the new jail, contractors began  renovation work next door to connect two facilities to create a larger space.

Our Approach:
The design and installation process involved a tremendous amount of planning and coordination. ColonialWebb Contractors worked to ensure that the inmates and the facility’s daily operations would be minimally impacted. To achieve this goal, we conducted a rigorous commissioning plan to guarantee proper design and installation of all major systems.

The project included:

  • More than 200 stainless steel security plumbing fixtures
  • An electronic water management system for the security plumbing fixtures
  • Six custom air handling and energy recovery units
  • A chemical-free water treatment system
