Mary Washington Hospital Campus, Fredericksburg, Virginia
The Challenge:
ColonialWebb is the mechanical contractor of choice for Mary Washington Hospital. Throughout the campus, our construction and special projects divisions completed contracts for the Amy Guest Center, ambulatory clinical services building, central plant, emergency room, bed tower and its Endoscopy Suite. We had to accomplish all of this without impeding the 24-hour use of the facility.
Our task was to improve the hospital’s piping systems and install new mechanical systems as necessary.
Our Approach:
Hospital renovations are intricate, requiring careful coordination and planning to keep operations running smoothly. ColonialWebb’s detailing department provided invaluable expertise in preparing for extensive above-ceiling work.
We mounted new connections to:
- Existing, active water mains
- Medical gas mains
- Sanitary piping
- All other types of utility piping systems
We installed various piping mains:
- New domestic water
- Medical gas
- Steam
- Chilled water
Mary Washington Hospital remained fully-operational because of our considerable attention to cleanliness and noise reduction.
