Project:
Hilton Garden Inn, Richmond, Virginia
The Challenge:
ColonialWebb Contractors assisted with the construction of the Hilton Garden Inn, a 100,000 square-foot, six-story hotel.
The hotel featured an indoor pool, energy recovery system and full-service kitchen.
Our Approach:
ColonialWebb addressed the needs of the swimming pool by installing a dehumidification and heater system. The system uses an evaporator to condense the evaporated pool water and keep the glass free and clear of moisture, while the condenser re-heats the pool water.
We mounted two energy recovery units in the attic, which brings energy from the incoming outside air and turns it into exhaust air leaving the building. In this method of using energy recovery, we helped reduced our client’s operating costs greatly.
In the kitchen, we placed a black, welded-steel grease duct for the cooking area hood exhaust, and we installed welded stainless steel exhaust for the dishwashers.
