The Challenge:
ColonialWebb Contractors performed all fabrication and installation of the process piping and utility piping for the new facility. We also handled the design/build portion of the mechanical and plumbing systems for the office and warehouse.
The complex industrial project required a fast-track schedule.
Our Approach:
Due to the tight, multi-level process area, we placed significant importance on detailing and coordination with the owner-furnished equipment to ensure a high quality of timely work.
The project required about 20,000 feet of copper, carbon and stainless steel pipe.
Under our stringent, weekly welding inspections, ColonialWebb welders performed more than 12,000 diameter weld inches in our fabrication facility and more than 2,000 diameter weld inches in the field. Some of the stainless steel piping systems contained jacketed pipe, odd-angle laterals and pipe bends.
