The Challenge:
Shortly after the project’s construction was completed, the center contracted ColonialWebb to perform maintenance services. As part of the annual checkup, we conducted certified vibration tests on all the chillers – one of which recorded abnormal movement.
Our Approach:
We recommended that the chiller be rebuilt under the manufacturer’s warranty. When the report was issued, the manufacturer denied the claim, saying the movement was within normal limits.
We did not accept the manufacturer’s response. We then generated reports on all the chillers. When the manufacturer compared the one report to all the rest, it admitted to the machine’s malfunction.
The manufacturer ultimately granted approval to rebuild the chiller under the warranty’s parameters. Our commitment to our client and unwavering persistence saved them money and frustration.
