Project:
Suffolk Cold Storage (Phase I & II), Suffolk, Virginia
The Challenge:
The company relocated its administrative offices and seafood processing plant to a 147,000 square-foot facility, which needed renovation to be a proper home for the new business.
The client hired ColonialWebb Contractors to design and install its refrigeration system, panels, doors, air conditioning and electrical work for the facility.
Our Approach:
We installed the refrigeration system with state-of-the-art Frick screw compressors, pressure vessels, ammonia recirculation packages, computerized controls and piping. The system blast freezes products at -35 degrees after which they are maintained in a holding freezer. Our insulation department supplied the refrigerated hygienic warehouse and blast freezer enclosures, under-floor insulation, and doors.
Due to delivering our quality work on time, the client asked us to assist on an 86,000 square-foot addition that will include refrigeration, insulated panels and doors, and electrical work.
We completed the project ahead of schedule with a meticulous focus on quality.
