Retail

Project:
Target, Suffolk, Virginia

The Challenge:
Target decided to renovate a vacant building for its new store in Suffolk. The existing rooftop-packaged HVAC units were well past their life spans, and the current air distribution didn’t match Target’s proposed floor plan.

ColonialWebb Contractors managed the HVAC retrofit.

The complete renovation had to be finished quickly, so the store could open for an upcoming holiday season.

Our Approach:
Working closely with the equipment manufacturer, ColonialWebb placed its order with the promise of prompt delivery of the new units. In the meantime, we proceeded with modifying the interior ductwork so it would be ready when the new units arrived on site.

Upon arrival and with two cranes operating in concert, we set in place 14 packaged units in less than a day. We completed final connections and commissioning in time for the store’s grand opening.
